For Halloween Sayla was a cute little lady bug and she loved Trick or treating....She would just run up to the door sometimes falling but still want to go get candy she loved it. We went up and say Gammy and Pappy then went to grandparents blommys for the rest of the night and had some great pocketbread with meatballs and hot wassel it was a great night i love halloween.

we did another fun B town trip ...full of my little pony runs and kohl runs then ryan came in town for the weekend and we went out to a farm and picked some pumpkins and did a maze played many hand and foot games and i am mad to say me and lacey did not play to well.....i will give it to the boys this time but next time we will kill it but the schwarzs did beat homs at Everything....touch football, mini golf...and more....thanks for the great trip homs

On easter Sunday we let daddy sleep in and me and sayla hide real dyed eggs all over the downstairs for him to find, its a little traditions the schwarz family have on easter to hide their colored eggs. Sayla had a easter basket with new shoes and some fun easter toys like the wind up lil chick. Sayla had a new little easter outfit that looked adorable on her like everything does she is so cute. That night we went over to the schwarz's for easter dinner i made some devil eggs one of our favorite. It was a great easter!

Yesterday At 5 we had a neighborhood friend easter egg hunt at our park in rockwell. I turned out to be really fun and the kids loved it even tho it was a little cold at the end of it. The girls filled the eggs and the boys hide them very well for all the kids. Thanks to my mom we had lots of eggs to fill. Say loved to play with all the eggs before we hid them she would put them in her basket then take them out right after a fun little game of hers. Sayla looked so cute it was the first time we put pony tails in her hair! She looks adorable with them in I cant get enough of it. You never know pure love tell you have a child she is so sweet and wonderful. Hope every one has a great Easter! Happy Easter !!!

Sayla turned ONE!!!! Her birthday is March 27th we had a spring butterfly birthday party at our clubhouse the saturday after her b-day! It was so much fun! we had a yummy chocolate fountain and great food for the party. Ryan was in charge of the p b & j's and he did a great job cutting them all up in squares. Sayla had a butterfly cake ( i made it so dont look to close its not perfection) and a butterfly pinata! Even butterfly straws that took me for ever to cut out about 50 or more butterflys. Thanks to everyone that came to celebrate say say's party!! so much fun ! we love her so much and cant believe she is already one!

Last week we went on a great trip to california this first couple days we stayed at my aunt missys its was great! Warm weather hanging out with the family their and going to disneyland and Newport beach (and yea we did eat a couple balboa bars! sooo good) the next couple nights we went up to pappys boat and hung out in santa monica and went to see grandma great schwarz up in T O where ryan grew up as a kid. We ate some mean buckets of crab at Rockin Baja with the hafers ryan was in heaven! We went to the aqaurium at santa monica and road on the carrousel also! It was a great Vacation to the sun !

So the past couple of weeks we have had alot and i mean alot going on.....so i might as well start off with the not so much fun stuff...cody and his friend rhett got in a car accident on there way up to the bensons cabin where we were all up their already waiting for them they rolled the tacoma off the road down a hill in the canyon luckily they were both wearing there seat belts....they are fine but i cant say the same about my little tacoma i drove all thru highschool kinda sad its gone sentimental about it i guess....then last week my poor husband got in a car wreck on the I15 while driving by draper he was hit from behind while he was dead stopped becasue of traffic the car that hit him was hit by a man who didnt see that the traffic had stopped and nailed them going about 50 mph but we were blessed again becasue ryan was wearing his seat belt and is doing great minus his back and neck aching. He was in my parents Civic and it to got totaled like the tacoma did. We are so blessed that no one had in any of these accidents have gotten seriously hurt.
Now on to fun things that happened....
We met nicks girlfriend Amber when they came to visit! it was great to see them both
Sayla is walking with a walker and around couches and holding our hands ! its so cute! she is growing up too fast she stands by her self also and is saying UH OH and pointing at everything
Valentines day was great! Ryan spoiled his valentines sayla got lots of fun toys and clothes from her dad! He even got both his girls flowers!
Sayla thinks she is to big for a bottle durring the day!
We watched Cody & Diesel for about 10 days while my parents went on a cruise for our uncle mikes wedding. Sayla loved feeding diesel from her highchair diesel would just wait around untill she dropped some food for him. Cody tried out for soccer and made the soph team! so excited to go to those games!
Go Jazz I come back from getting the mail and Ryan had dressed sayla in the cutest Jazz uniform while he was watching a jaz game. her little chubby legs looked so cute

so many things have happened sense my last post so here they are.....
1. Christmas at the Bloms with everyone, my Parents got Diesel the Poodle fun new addition to the family was a great christmas!
2. Saw great movies.....-Slumdog Millionaire - Austrailia - benjamin button- yes man- marley and me ( w/ sisters we all cried)
3. Karaoke night at Schwarzs for New Years Party
4. Sayla Learned to Crawl!! two days after christmas!!!! she just woke up and that morning decided she knew how to crawl alot of fun to see her learn new things and be able to move she crawls after us now its adorable
5. Sayla turned 10 months today! just 2 more to go until she is a year old, it goes by to fast i just want to push a pause button on her
6. Went on a girls trip with Bianca and her two sisters Meranda and Carla to Sunvalley, we went cross country skiing and played many many games of the "ABC car game" and sometimes we didnt even play it in the car thats how much we played it FUN Trip
7. Ryan went on a boys ski trip with 3 of our neighbor friends to Jacksonhole
8. Grandparents Mankers came by to visit from California
9. Grandma Manker turned 70! happy Birthday
10. Sayla got her first tooth!!!
11. Sayla can pull her self up on to about anything

So we went to see santa at university mall with Jason & Kelli then we went to build a bear and made a cute holiday bear named "Little One" After our little one sayla. Sayla Loved Santa so much she just kept on looking up at him and smiling and took a great santa picture that i am so mad becasue i didnt buy the cd so i cant get it online. but its a adorable picture. Here are some pictures from Disney on ice we went to the ESA arena on nov 14th. It was so much fun Sayla loved it, we dressed her up as Tinker Bell she looked so cute and would dance around when we held her up and clap to. She is just getting so big! I have to say i enjoyed it just as much as all the little 8 year old girls there did too, I love Disney anything.

She is still wearing it we have a appt in december and we will see for how much longer hopefully it will get off soon. We are so blessed to have her in our life and how she has been recovering. Sayla's First Utah Jazz Game Last Night

we decided to see how sayla would do at a utah jazz game and to our suprise she LOVED it! all she did was stare around at all the people and lights. She even waved first at this random stranger who was waving at her. When the music started she would wiggle her body like she was dancing it was so cute! we went with uncle scottie and they played the old sonics which are now the oaklahoma city thunder which we won! and it was jerry sloans 1,000 win...SAYLA IS A JAZZ FAN!

Saylas first halloween she was a adorable black kitty that also looked like a panda bear....but still she was the cutest little panda/kitty ever. she loved to be in her outfit and i couldnt stop taking pictures of her in it so sorry if i post alot they are all just to cute of her. We took her over to my sisters aslyns first to see her cousins Bella was a kitty also and Gavin was of course the "foofoos" gavins language means a train/thomas the train he was so fun running around her house say choo choo chuga chuga. then we were off to my mom and dads so say hi and eat of course her home made pocket bread with meatballs so good! a halloween tradition in our family. My parents had a huge bucket of candy and we put sayla in the bucket and she loved it she just played with all the candy and hung out in there. after that visit we went to Ryans brothers Jason to see them, both the boys were star wars of course there fav movie! to adorable boys and tanner was just so sweet we missed him in his outfit but i bet it looked so cute. having sayla made halloween so much better than last years children just make everything better

MOM's 50th to DisneyLand!~

so from the nyc trip we had a day to recover before sayla and I took a trip on the 16th to CALI! for my moms 50th b-day we rented out this house thats insanely decorated like disneyland ironicly its called the disney house all the kids loved it so much. we met Ashlyn, bella, gav gav and my mom and drove to the airport and flew to anaheim. Lacey and her girls came so did my dad and cody. It was so much fun, Sayla loved disney land the parades were her favorite she loved lookings at all the crazy floats. We met our cousins the hafers there and aunt heidi with cute mason. Grandma and Grandpa manker came also. It was the first time that they had met Sayla. We went to disney land 2 days and had a brithday party with cousins on sunday and hung out at the house. we were so close to the park we could walk there it was so nice. it was a great trip and sayla did great flying there and back also she is such a good sport. HAPPY 50th MOM WE LOVE YOU

NYC TRIP

So this was the first time I had left Sayla over night before...it was rough but new york kept us really busy and debbie was great at sending us pictures with updates on how she was doing. We left on the 10th of october and got back the 14th. Sayla did just great with out us and grammy debbie watched her for us. we were told she didnt even miss us at all she was so happy with grammy and pappy. We met Brad & Lacey in New York we stayed at the sheraton towers in time square, which was a great location for everything we did. I think we did everything in new york you could possible do or at least try to. Our legs were killing us by the end of each day. here are some pictures of the weekend in NYC with the homs. here is a little list of what we did in nyc.......Saw All My Sons w/Katie Holmes, Chicago, Staten Island Ferry, Century 21, Every H&M, Republic, Time Square, Rice to Riches, Bread, Peter Lugars best steak but insane night trying to get there (yes we walked over the brooklyn bridge for no reason to get there) yankee statdium old & new, bike ride in central park, asia de cuba, serafinas, stock exchange, ground zero, top of the rocks, flat iorn building and ryans best part at bread they had glass bottle diet COKES!.... all and all it was a great trip

So i need to update our blog really bad, We have celebrated 5 birthdays sense last post--- Ryans 24 we had a birthday dinner at blomquist & schwarz's then had cake and ice cream on his birthday with all the schwarz's Ryan and I went out to eat sushi while grandma Schwarz watch Sa Sa, Debbie's 50 we had a celebration at the country club in Alpine with all her family it was great, Greg 26 & Scotts 17 we had lemon chicken for scotts birthday and cake, Grandpa Blomquist is 80! for his birthday we made him a book from all grandkids and great grandkids with fun memories with gramps and ate diner at thai food then the boys went to a real soccer grame also our Uncle Mike flew in from Alaska we hadnt seen him in 2 years! it was great to see him. So yesterday Sayla got on her helmet, She didnt like it at first or that whole day ...but then at the night it got better and she actually slept with it on all night and today has gone alot better than yesterday. Its a hard ajustment to get used to but she is doing good and we know its only for a little while and it will impact her whole life what we do now for her head so its worth it. But she does look cute in it, Ryan calls it her little football helmet. here are pictures of her getting it fitted and put on for the first time and some other shots with it on with flowers on it.

HELMET CASTING

MOST OF YOU PROBABLE ALREADY KNOW THAT SAYLA HAS TO WEAR A HELMET FOR A COUPLE MONTHS BECASUE OF HER CEPHLAHEMATOMA A BIRTH THAT CALCIFIED THEN WE HAD SURGERY TO REMOVE CALCIUM AND NOW WE HAVE TO USE A HELMET TO TRY TO ROUND OUT HER HEAD MORE. SHE WAS SO GREAT YESTERDAY AT THE CASTING, WE HAD TO TAKE OUT HER EARINGS FOR IT & SHE DID NOT LIKE THAT AT ALL WE BOTH FELT SO BAD FOR OUT LITTLE GIRL WE WISH SHE DIDNT HAVE TO GO THRU ALL THIS WE JUST KEEP TELLING OUR SELVES THAT SHE WONT REMEMBER IT WHEN SHE IS OLDER AND HOPEFULY LOOK BACK ON IT AN LAUGH THAT SHE HAD TO WEAR A HELMET. SO IN 2 WEEKS SHE WILL GET HER FIRST FITTING AND THEN COME HOME WITH IT ON. BUT HERE ARE SOME PICTURES OF THE CASTING THEY HAD TO DO TO GET HER EXACT MOLD OF HER HEAD. RYAN AND I KEPT LAUGHING BECASUE SHE LOOKED SO CUTE IN THAT HAT BEACSUE IT MADE HER CHEEKS EVEN BIGGER. AFTER SHE GOT IT ALL DONE SENSE SHE DID SO GOOD AND WAS SO BRAVE WE WENT AND GOT HER A NEW TOY AND SOME NEW LITTLE BOOKS SHE CAN HOLD.

We have a brand new little niece as of Aug 31 @ 10:05 am she came fast and healthy we are so happy and love her congrats ash, ty and gav, she weighed 6 lbs 12 oz and 20" long and has her moms lips. So this has been an eventfull week for our little Say Say she got her ear pierced on tuesday!! That was not an easy time I thought I could hold her durring it but I was wrong so her aunt ash held her tight so she couldnt move when he pierced her little ears. We put little baby pearls in her ears they are so cute but at first I was a littler nervous about them but they have grown on me and ry. We just think she looks grown up but i think we have to come to realization that she is growing up and learn to deal with our little girl getting bigger. Another big girl thing she did was she held her own bottle for the first time, Ryan was feeding her the night time bottle and she held it the WHOLE time she was drinking. It was so cute she loves her little night time bottle. And here is a little picture of Sayla in the tub she is slowly moving out of the sink to the tub. When we were taking pictures of sayla in her earings for the first time woody wanted to come take some pictures also so we got all us three in one.

Sayla had her first cereal about a week and half ago! she is such a doll she loved it so much, she just knew what to do and ate it all! But of course it made a huge mess the first time we tried but lately she is a pretty clean eater cuz she wants every bite of cereal. for my 21st birthday the sunday before we had a italian pizza, food party at my moms house with the schwarz's also! it was so much fun the food was deliciouse like always at my moms house. I got so many fun gifts i loved them all! Sayla got me disney movies so we can watch thm together. Then on my birthday i got a pedicure then Ryan, Scottie, Nick, Cody, & I all went to market street for some crab and then went mini golfing at boondocks and lets just say i didnt win, not so good at the mini golf haha Then we drove home over the mountain and it was perfect time for the cedar hills fireworks so we watched them on the side of the road on suncrest.

so my new found fun thing to do is taking pictures of sayla its my new little hobby i actually want to get into some classes for photography but we will see if that happens, but i just loved all the pictures of sayla she is so cute! For the 4th we went to b-town (Boise) to visit with the Homs and also it was sydneys 3rd birthday on July 3rd. We left for Boise on July 2nd and didnt get there untill 3am July 3rd! the traffic in ogden was horrible becasue of construction then it took us FOREVER to get out on the highway. But we thought we would drive in the night for Sayla so she would just sleep the whole time, which luckly she did so it wasnt all that bad but poor ry had to drive the whole way becauase we were towing the Jet Skiis behind the truck. The Bloms ( Michelle, Scott, & Cody) came that next day around the afternoon, they brought the airstream behind there car. Then the bensons came late that night around 11 or 12. Sydneys birthday party was a blast lots of little tykes were there running around the sprinklers and playing with chalk on the side walk. The bensons brought there boat and we had the jet skis so we had a blast durring the day with boating. Sayla loved the boat so much it would just put her right to sleep. For the 4th we had all the kids in matching outfits from old navy ( I love old navy baby clothes!) they all looks so cute in there little outfits ( it was just hard to get a good picture of them all looking at the camera). all in all the trip was a blast! It was Saylas 2nd trip out side of utah and she is only 3 months!

Our little sweetheart had to have surgery on July 7th at primary childrens hospital. We are so blessed to have her in our lives she means more to us than any thing in the world we just feel like the luckiest parents to have her as our daughter she is so sweet and we love her so much. As parents it was the hardest day of our lives to hand her over to the surgeon and put our trust in him to take care of her. We are so greateful for everyones prayers and love durring all of this. We know she was watched over by our heavenly father and felt everyones love & prayers for her. She has been so great and is recovery amazing. We love you Sayla Solana you are our little angel.

Sayla went all out for her dads first fathers day and so did woody ;) she got him a daddy love childrens book there is a picture of daddy reading it to her she loved it and stared at the book the whole time. She also got dad one of his fav. games ticket to ride (we are going to kill the homs next time we play) she go dad a fathers day tie and mom got him some flowers (i know more for mom than dad but we love the smell of fresh flowers in our house) and made him a scrapbook of our first 1 1/2 years together before little sayla came along. he got pretty spoiled but he deserves it he is a great dad and husband and we love him so much. here are some pictures of that day!~

i love this little dress on sayla~! here is daddy holding her how her cousin sydney used to loved to be held from her dad, sayla went swimming for the first time in our townhome pool when it was a nice day and not to many kids in the pool she didnt like it to much at first but then she loved it, she looked so cute in her swimsuit.

First Plane Ride

So sayla went on her first plane ride out to california on tues june 10th to the 13th to pappis boat in marine del ray. She did so great on both plane rides, Say just slept the whole time. the only hard part was having to deal with the airlines these days, they like to charge fro everything like car seat bags and checking bags. They dont even let you pre board with an infant anymore. The trip was great we got to hannah dance aat universal studios and go on some fun rides. Sayla loved Pappys boat and slept great on it. She got to meet her great grand parents (walts parents) also her cousin Ayla who had the same due date as Sayla but she was born a month or so earlier than that (there names are so close and us parents didnt even know that until we named them, its kinda cute that there names and due dates are so close) Grandpa bought sayla her first swimsuit and he made sure it was a one piece haha ;) cute pappy. but all in all the trip was great! we had a blast in california we got to see where ryan grew up in thousand oaks its beautiful there in the california hills.

Well here are some updated pictures...She is growing up so fast she is already 2 months old and had to get her shots the other day and that was horrible the poor girl had to get 2 shots in each leg! There is a picture with grammy and pappi in her blessing dress and also she went camping for the first time over memorial weekend up in midway in grandparents bloms airstream with grandpa blom, the bensons and cody, uncle nick. When we got home from the camp out we walked in to a leak in one of our sinks and it had leaked thru the ceiling down to the laundry room so we have to get the room re painted and dry walled. Also a picture on my first mothers day, sayla got mommy the movie juno becasue thats the last movie i saw when i was still prego with her. and woody got me a card & work out clothes. Ryan got me some beautiful lillies that made the whole house smell amazing for a week straight also some spa bath stuff! It was a great mothers day we went to church with grandma blomquist then ate dinner up at schwarz's. Sayla is going on her first airplane ride tomorrow so wish us luck that she does well ;)

Nights Rest

Sayla slept thru the night last night!! I woke up at 6:30am and couldnt believe that she was still asleep! right when i woke up i was in shock i almost ran to her room to make sure she was still breathing becasue i couldnt believe she slepts from 11 to 6:30 it was amazing! i havnt had that much sleep in a row for so long i forgot what it had felt like. so i hope that tonight she repeats what she did yesterday, cross my fingers! :)

so last saturday we got to go the Real Soccer game and they were playing David Beckham!!! Me and lacey just about died when we saw him!! we sat about 3 rows from his first goal and were so close to him! he gave us a smile when we were yelling for him! the poor boys didnt like it that much us girls drooling over him but you know they were secretly excited to see him to. here are some pics of the game! Then we have also had the NBA playoffs going on so pretty much every day and night we have on a game on one of our tvs. Here is a pic at playoff game at the ES arena GO JAZZ!!!!!

Sayla's Baby Blessing

This past sunday ryan gave sayla her baby blessing. It was so special to hear and see all of the people in her life that love and care for her. It was a great experience as a mother to see my husband give our daughter a blessing. Sayla wore my baby blessing dress from 20 years ago when i was blessed by my dad, thanks to my mom who kept the dress in great shape sayla was able to wear it for her blessing also. On the inside of the dress and the blanket that went with the blessing gown was hand stiched my middle name "Solana" which is also Saylas middle name, it was a great little suprise when we saw that on the dress, it worked out perfect for her to be blessed in it also. We went up to the Schwarz's after for lunch we had lots of yummy foods and adorable cupcakes from grandma blomquist.

Sayla is just over 2 weeks old now and we are loving ever second with her, we cant believe we are parents to such a beautiful baby girl we feel so blessed. Baby Sayla is finally here. She was born on Thursday, March 27th at 8:35AM. She weighed 7lbs2oz and was 19in long. Sommer and Ryan are just in heaven with their new little bundle of joy. well As most of you know i am still pregnant....little baby sayla just doesnt want to come out just yet she likes to drive her parents crazy already. we are hoping that any day now she will decided to come out, we cant wait for that to happen. We keep on thinking oh it will happen tomorrow then...nothing happens even after all the hard walks i have been doing lately to try and put me into labor. Hopefully the next post is that she has arrived~!

Hospital Visit # 1 and # 2

so we went for our weekly check up this thursday and i had high blood pressure so the dr. had us go over to the hospital for some fun testing and everything went back to normal so i was able to go home but had to go back the next day for check up also at labor and delivery, we cant believe we only have 3 weeks left tell saylas due date. everything is going good with her and me just have to watch my blood pressure for now but we both are doing great and i cant wait tell she is finally ready to come out. We are packed and ready to go to the hospital at any time!

I work at Elase Medical Spa as a receptionist and the girls i work with thru me a adorable shower for baby sayla, Danica even made her some very cute letters for her room spelling her name, I love them so much! the name looks great hanging in her room. it was so nice of them, i got lots of fun stuff for her and very useful things also like diapers.
